Fall Festival 2007

What a fun night! Every year we go to the Fall Festival at our church. It is like a carnival! The past two years (before this year) it has been absolutely freezing cold. But last night was just beautiful...therefore there were a ton of people there. I had this great plan to get there early before everyone else got there...but you guessed it, everyone else had the same plan. It was still a lot of fun....and I got a ton of great pictures!

OK, funny story (well, not really funny at the time!) Camily, Mike and Matthew went to the Fall Festival too! Of course Alexie is so excited to see her gymnastics buddy, Matthew. Alexie and Matthew have started this thing that when they first see each other they run FULL FORCE towards each other (I am talking like they are charging each other), and they don't realize they need to slow down until it is too late. Therefore, we have had a few crashes lately. Well, Alexie spots Matthew...and Matthew spots Alexie and it begins! They start running and next thing we know, they are both knocked out on the grass. Matthew just rebounded like the typical boy, but I think more than anything it just scared the snot out of Alexie. So, not even two minutes into our festivities we have a passing out spell! She's out cold in my arms....not for very long, though. She seemed to bounce right back and was not too phased by it all. So, this is the after picture of Alexie and Matthew! (HEY, check out the protective brother in the background!!!! Classic!)

You can't really tell in these pictures, but this slide was pretty tall and they were so excited about climbing to the top. On the right all three of them (Kole, Alexie, Matthew) are coming down. It is not a very clear picture because I was standing back pretty far.

I am not sure how I got this shot...perfect shot! You see the blue ball going through the orange flower?!

Have you ever seen or done one of these things below? Kole saw the Cowboys star and wanted to go...little did he know what it did. They strap this harness around you chest and you start at the back of the inflatable. You run as hard as you can and the cord attached to the harness is like a bungee cord...so when you can't go any further it shoots you back to where you started. I did this one time when I was a senior in high school and I thought I dislocated my neck...I kept telling Robbie, 'he should not do this!!'...but you know how that conversation ended! Kole has NO clue of what is about to happen...he is just told to run. I knew this would end badly! Here he is taking off!

And here is that poor, sweet boy being jerked back like a slingshot! Needless to say, he cried. Now...how come nobody listened to me in the beginning? Robbie said that after he got off, he said he wanted to go again....sure he did!

Here is our attempt to get a family picture...I have learned that very few will turn out. But they tried! Hey, Kylie...we are over here!!

I asked Camily if she would take a picture of us and Matthew started to get upset because he wanted to get in the picture....so, here is Matthew, our newest family member!! What a fun night!
