I don't really make New Year Resolutions. But this year I have a major goal I am aiming for! I have always wanted to read the Bible in a year...but have never really found a program I can stick to. I was talking to a dear friend who was telling me she is doing a program through her church that consist of reading three chapters everyday and then on the seventh day you read five chapters starting with Genesis and just working your way through. I am thinking, 'OK, Hol...you can do this!'
I got a little late start and did not start on January 1st....but I seem to be catching up pretty fast. I was talking to Robbie this morning and he works with someone who's reading the Bible in a year as well and is following a very similar program. Over to the right under my Favorites is the website. Just a challenge to all my friends out there to try and do the same. I can make excuses all day long about how I don't have time. But in all honestly (as my husband would put it) if I have time to blog...I can make time to read three chapters a day! Blogging is very important to me...because it is how I document my life...my family! But, ultimately, my relationship with God takes higher priority. I have gotten up earlier each morning and had my quiet time and read my three chapters! I can always use any prayers for me to continue this goal and to keep my eyes on the prize!
So, feel free to hold me accountable and ask me how my progress is going! As of right now, I am proud that I am still in the race....even though it is only January 9th! This is progress!

Hollie...it's the most rewarding thing you'll ever do...I'll be praying for you.
We can hold each other's feet to "the flame" of accountability. I will need it in a few months!

I love that you are doing this! I've also wanted to do it--they have a program through our church that does it, and it has always interested me. I'm very impressed with you and I'll definitely pray for you!
