I told you guys I was on this pink and black kick and it hasn't stopped! I was 'head of the decorating committee' ;) for my cousins shower/sip and see, so one guess what colors I picked?! I figured Kristin would be OK with it too since those are the colors she chose when I did her blog. I did however, go a little crazy with the decorating....I wanted it to be perfect for Kristin and sweet Bella.
When I started planning this, I had the thought to pick out some fun fabric and make a quilt to use as a table cloth. I figured that way I could find some fun pink and black fabrics so it would be exactly how I wanted it. So off to the fabric stores my mom and I went! And you have to act really surprised when I tell you I came home with a zebra print and a hot pink fabric! I have never done anything like this (remember the dresses were my first real sewing experience!), so I really had NO clue what I was doing. I mean, how hard could it be, right? Note to self - when I say 'how hard could it be?'.....the answer is probably going to be - VERY hard!
After I got the fabric, I started thinking that maybe after I use this table cloth for the shower, I could turn it into a comforter for the girls bedroom (they have had the same decorations for a while now). Well, it was all downhill from there. Once I had this 'brilliant' idea, I was off and out of control! I am so proud of how this table cloth/soon-to-be comforter turned out. Can you believe I made this with my own two hands? All of this shower business has been what has taken up all of my time...but it has been SO much fun!
Here are some more pictures I got of Bella last week (I had some of these blown up and on the tables for more decoration).

Food table decorations (we found the most perfect black zebra plates and pink zebra print napkins from Swoozies - love that store!)....
I told the cake people that I wanted a 'hot pink' color for the lettering and it turned out to be a little (sarcasm) on the florescent red side, but other than that I was happy with it.
Annie made this beautiful diaper cake that matched everything so perfectly!

Check out these bargains! I got this black and white zebra blanket at Stein Mart for $10.78 (thanks for the phone call Camily!)...can you believe that? And the pink zebra print that is on top of that, is a big down pillow cover that I found at TJ Maxx for $16.99. It is the most comfortable pillow I have ever put my head on! They also had two smaller ones that I think I will go back and get to put on Kylie's bed (and the big one can go on Lex's bed).

I made Isabella a dress too (I also made some burp cloths and had them monogrammed {I was a sewing fool!}, but I forgot to take a picture of them....

Chris & Annie (and Will too!!)....
Uncle C-day & Kylie
Kyle talking to Bella (if you stick your tongue out she will copy you)....
'Um, yeah, Bella...he doesn't have what you're looking for, honey!!'
Bella's sweet parents!

4 generations of Hammontree woman....
Kylie riding the horsey my cousin Leigh's leg....
Lindsey (and Jackson!) chatting with my cousins, Michelle & Nicole.
Oh my word...I have to tell you about this picture. When we were all a lot younger, every Christmas Eve our parents made us all line up and sit on the fireplace so they could take pictures. We couldn't start opening presents until we took the infamous cousin picture. We all dreaded it so much (I'm sure because we rather be opening presents!). So we couldn't let the afternoon end without getting a picture of all the cousins (minus Jon & Tim - we missed you guys!).
Gran & Ky...
All three of the kids were dying to hold Bella. Kole said he wanted me to have another baby ONLY if it were a boy! This might have been the highlight of the day for them....

On our way home, I was following Husband in my vehicle and when we stopped at the light, he popped his unbrella out of the sunroof (such a goofball!)....
This is kind of random, but it just summed up my Mother's day. This was the view on the way home and I just smiled at God's handiwork....
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day with your own Mama and/or kids! Mine was amazing....I am so very blessed!
