CAAARAZY dog

OK seriously, this whole dog thing...really like having another child! So that basically means I have FIVE children (since Husband is the biggest one of them all). I didn't realize Sterling was going to give me so much to blog about.

It's weird that we have had her for such a short time, yet it feels like forever! She is definitely a character. I have never seen a dog that was BOTH calm and wild! We are still working on our visitor manners. She gets OUT. OF. CONTROL. when someone comes over. Give her a little bit and she is back to normal....but it does take a while. Let's just say, she LOVES visitors!

And have I mentioned that I think she is part human? When she is just 'hanging out'...this is how she does it....seriously?!



Oh, and I know dogs smell ANY & EVERYTHING, but this dog especially has a crazy, wild sniffer! One afternoon, I left to pick the kids up from school and by the time I returned (maybe 10 minutes later) she had sniffed through TWO zip lock baggies and was about to tear into these when I walked in the door (she did eat one...I was just in time!).



On Christmas morning, I caught her just in time (AGAIN!) before she TORE into a full pack of BUBBLEGUM!

And then there was Christmas day....when she literally had to have hopped on the kitchen counter to retrieve a box full of 2-0 (as in TWENTY!) peanut butter cookies. I had pushed the box ALL the way back against the back splash and she got the box down and ate them all. She's an ANIMAL (no pun intended)!

All in all, we are loving her and still trying to get her to STOP growling at Kylie. She has this issue with growling at Kylie because she feels superior over her since Ky is the small one of the family....but we are working on it!

I also just realized that sweet Sterling (almost) shares a birthday with me!! She will turn 7 on January 4th!! And just for the record - this birthday (for some strange reason) is hitting me just a little bit harder than any other....I will be 32 on January 5th. That's young, right? RIGHT?!
