"Meet" Alexie

Saturday morning, Alexie had her very first gymnastics meet! Needless to say, I was anxious about the big day. Alexie, on the other hand...well, she was calm as can be. Seriously, the girl had NO nerves what-so-ever! And that actually made me more nervous...not sure why! I think it was because she really had no clue what to expect....therefore, there was nothing to be nervous about.

The night before her meet was Robbie's company Christmas party. I was excited that the party fell so early in December...until I realized it was the night before Alexie's meet. We originally planned to stay away for the night, but that all changed. Poppy & Gabby came over to keep the muncherheads for us (THANK YOU, GUYS!!) so Alexie could go to bed early. We planned on coming home early, but we don't get out much and kind of took advantage of the babysitters!

OK, this was just precious! We stayed out later than planned and after we got home (which was late!!), Husband went to the store and bought Alexie flowers for her big gymnastics meet! All I have to say is - that is AWESOME!! He always gets the girls little things like this and I think it is so great just because it shows them how they should be treated. Granted, it doesn't take actually buying a girl something to be treated well....but the fact that he takes the time and effort to do these kinds of things for them makes my heart melt! I have a friend who's Dad still sends her flowers every Valentine's Day and she always talks about how special that is. Robbie has always done stuff like this for his girls....so sweet!





I can't tell you how many baseball and football games I have stood and filmed (because it meant a lot to Husband), so it was SO nice to sit (and take pictures, of course!!) and actually watch my Lesser-Lamb while HUSBAND filmed this time!!!!



The whole gang showed up!! Thank you Doc, Grandma, Poppy, Gabby, Aunt Lindsey, Grancy, Bryce & Jackson for coming to support Lex!!







These two are like long-lost-sisters! They are so funny together and I love them BOTH to pieces!!



Oh, and we can't forget 'Thing 1' & 'Thing 2'!! That's what I started calling them....they are always up to something!!







Alexie's first event was the floor...she started off so great!!



Her score was an 8.0, which is pretty darn good for her first meet! Way to go, Lex!!
