Of course we would!!....of course, we would pick the coldest night we have had to date this fall when we decided we would camp out with the kids in the backyard! Note to self - check the weather first. I mean, call me crazy for thinking the Texas weather would stay the same as it had for the previous 10 days!
Is it illegal to build a fire in your backyard? Without a fire pit? If it is, then all of this took place next door at our neighbors house...but shoot, I didn't get any pictures of them! Maybe next time.
Husband worked very hard getting the fire started (at our neighbors, of course!)...I mean, very hard! It wasn't cooperating...
Alexie ready to go (notice how NOBODY'S clothes match...LOVE IT!).
Kole is SO serious when it comes to camping or anything else outdoor-ish....
Oh look, it's me...I came out from behind the camera!
Husband finally got it going! We needed it too....it was really cold!
And now that it's going, this little one is tired, cold and ready to go inside!!
Time to cook!
This Daddy has a special bond with his girls...it is precious how he loves on them so much!

And she loved whatever he was telling her...
See what I mean? Serious. Kole.

OK, when I saw this picture I couldn't believe my eyes! First let me say that there is NOTHING about Alexie's looks that came from her mother! She is 110% Anderson (looks JUST like her daddy), Kole is pretty much a Houser (looks just like my twin brother) and Ky is my mini-me! So when I saw this picture I couldn't believe how much Alexie looked like me...do you see it? It's really just the face she is making (because her face is more oval like mine) and maybe the lips...do any of you see it?
Husband worked SO hard getting the stinking fire started and then helping the kids...it was finally his turn to make mine and his dinner....yum (being a little sarcastic...not a huge hot dog fan).
SHUT UP!! Looky there....it's me in the picture! And I'm not taking it of myself! That's pretty much how all of us Mama's feel, right...but I wouldn't trade it for anything! Who needs a picture of me...I want pictures of my babies! We are doing 'cheers' with our marshmallows!
Kole's flaming marshmallow! The boy has no fear...and I love how I am chill as can be like he has it all under control! That's what happens by the time you have three kids!! {Did you notice who made the picture again? Husband must have been on a roll!}
Another picture? WOW...we're making history here! Kylie was ready to go inside until we told her what we were about to do!
Ky: OK Mama, can we go in now?
OH. MY. GOSH....this is what Kole does EVERY TIME he is done with his food and he wants more. Instead of saying something, he will just sit there and stare at his EMPTY plate. It's like he's waiting for food to jump onto it!
You think I'm kidding? These pictures were taken several minutes apart...he's still waiting! Husband and I think it's pretty funny...I mean, how long do you think he will wait?
This picture is pathetic on many levels. First off, YES, Kole is still holding and staring at his EMPTY plate. Secondly, look at Ky. She has been ready to go inside for A VERY LONG TIME now....she was so cold and tired. And lastly, do you see the poor, pathetic tent that Husband attempted to put up (you can see it better in the next picture) until we realized that it was way too cold and if he wanted to camp out, he would be in the backyard by himself...we were headed in! AWE, kind of sad after all his hard work getting our the neighbors fire started!
Look! He finally gave up! Oh, you don't believe that do you? We gave the boy some more...he was just putting up his plate!

We let the kids watch a movie while we cleaned things up and when I went to check on them they were already out!
Thank you Husband for working so hard to do something special for the kids...I know they loved every minute of it!
