It's about that time for one of those random posts...ya know, the kind that is just a little about everything? I have SO much blogging to do to catch up on all the birthdays and everything else! In my mind, it is terrible that I didn't post Kylie or Kole's birthday videos on their actual birthday! In the past, I would have never let the day pass without having their video of the past year completed...but things have changed. I just realized that as long as I get it done some time soon, the world is not going to come to an end! And the main purpose is so they can see it when they are older...so I guess I can take a little pressure off of myself. But, you can ask Husband, there have been many a nights I have stayed up the entire night trying to get it done before they woke up on their birthday. I learned two years ago, that Kole is the one who really appreciates the birthday videos (even of his sisters!!) and would actually cry when he watched (he's my sensitive little guy!!). So, I wasn't surprised when he has continued to ask when he can see his birthday video....many times! Soon, son...soon! I have 5 birthdays to blog about....and that's not even including mine (or my Mom's whose is around the corner!). There wasn't much special about turning 32...it was a regular ole day. Husband did take me shopping, though...that was very nice of him!

Husband has been putting one of his many talents to great use lately! He lost a friendly bet with some of his Vikings buddies that work in the Minn. office and he had to make them each one of these signs....

Are those not AWESOME?! I tell ya, that man is so talented it's sickening! He has whipped out so many of these vintage looking signs and every time I think it can't get better and IT DOES! I can brag on him like that, right?! I just think the detail on these are amazing!
He made this one for Annie and Chris, who have a divided house! :)
And he made this one for my dad! The picture was taken with a cell phone and seriously does NO JUSTICE for the detail involved. This is one of our favorites!
Husband has always called Alexie his 'princess' and Kylie his 'Angel', so he made these signs for their rooms (well, he's just completed Ky's)...but, he said it was by far the longest/most detailed one he has done. It doesn't look like it because it is simple, but that cursive writing took quite a while to do. He is such a perfectionist (which I totally respect because I am too!) and he spent many hours on this one. Can you believe that I am still re-decorating their rooms? I'm talking this has been a nine month project and I just decided that I will complete it when we move. If I knew we would be in this house for a while, I would have already re-painted their room and finished, but I'm not going to spend any more money/effort if I know we are moving some time in the future. They will get their completed rooms when that happens! ;)

Alexie's sign will say 'Daddy's lil Princess' and have a crown in the corner. I am sure I will put it over their beds once we finally do move....along with getting Ky her very own twin bed. Well, those are my plans anyway...I haven't even talked to Husband about that but it's about time that she starts sleeping in her own bed and not crammed in a twin with her sister (you may remember that since Ky got her toddler bed, she continues to get in bed with Alexie every-single-night...can you believe she still does this?)!
I made this sign for Jackson's monkey-themed room. You can definitely tell the difference between Robbie's signs and mine!
This one I made for Chris/Annie & Kyle/Lindsey's baseball-themed baby shower, and it now has a new home in Kyle's office!
I made Will & Jackson one of these (that had their Daddy's very own baseball card framed)...
But as I said, you can tell mine are clearly not as good as Husband's! Recently he has had more requests for custom orders, so he thought maybe he could contact a blog designer (know any?) to throw some on a blog so people can see all the different ones we he has done! That's all we need - another blog! But I'd love to do it for him (I just can't promise him when that will be...he hee!!).

Can you guess who is coming over to my house tomorrow? I will give you a hint...I am going to put him in here....
I'm guessing you don't need any clues on what I'm gonna do with that little guy once I get him in there, huh? Don't worry, I'll throw some pillows on the bottom first! Did I mention this piece I found at an antique store? I was originally thinking I would put it in front room somewhere...but it is probably another thing I can do more with once we move (and just in case you are wondering, we don't have any plans on moving right now, but it will happen some time in the near future). I might ask my handy Husband to make a lid for it...or maybe not...not sure what I will do with it.
Look what else I found last weekend at a different antique store...I'm IN L♥VE with this piece (don't pay any attention to what is on it...I was just trying to figure out what I was going to display there)...
This was the wall that had the green painting on it, so now those plans have changed. It's a big enough wall that I could put a picture on each side...but I'm not sure what I'm gonna do yet!
I ♥ the detail (and lack of paint) SO MUCH!
But anyway, I'll post pictures of precious Will later in the week!

Those signs are so good! You could always sell them on esty as well as having a blog! I wish I lived in your area I would have you do our pictures.
Doing the paintings is not the fun part sweetie...the fun part is just hanging out doing arts and crafts with you! I think your signs are awesome and you have so many talents that I will never be able to keep up! Love you!!!
