Ya know that gut feeling? The one that God gave us mother's for a reason? Well, it is here so I thought I would ask if you would be so gracious and start praying now.
Right before Christmas both of the girls got a virus. Alexie's was basically a HORRIBLE cough and it lasted about two weeks. She would cough so hard she would vomit. We ended up taking her to the ER on Christmas Eve and they discharged us saying there was nothing they could do since it was a virus - I HATE VIRUSES!!!!
Well, a few days later, Kylie came down with a CLEAR runny nose and that was it...no cough. Eventually, she looked like Rudolph from me wiping her nose so many times a day. And then the fever kicked it! Anytime she has a fever my anxiety level goes up about 100 decimals (what's a decimal anyway? Never mind, I just looked it up and I actually used it in the right context...I think?! - A decimal). Anyhoo, then on December 28th (exactly 21 months to the day of her first seizure - sorry, I notice random stuff like that), I blogged about another 911 call and febrile seizure she had...except this time the paramedics just stayed at the house with us for a while and then we ended up taking her in ourselves.
So, my point to all of this is that we are now in the SAME EXACT situation (at least they waited until we returned from our trip...I would feel terrible leaving someone else in charge of all the drama)! But two days ago, Alexie started this HORRIBLE cough...AGAIN! And you guessed it, Kylie started having a clear running nose on Saturday. She then started running fever, but none of which has been dangerously high. Today, she woke up VERY sick...and like I said, my anxiety is now on edge just worrying about a fast spike in fever causing another seizure. She looks so pathetic and is very lethargic. Oh, did I mention that she has also thrown up about 6 times in about 2 hours? Yea, that's what happens when you go on vacation, you just come home to lots of fun stuff to deal with...part of life! I told Husband to be on call in case I need him and I am just praying this only gets better. But, I can't fool myself either, if you saw her....it's not looking good.
I took both of them to the Urgent Care place Saturday night and he said they both had a virus.....did I mention I HATE VIRUSES?! OK, I'll stop....but if you could please pray for both of the girls, but especially Ky....this gut feeling isn't going away. And as I've said many times before, we appreciate your prayers and support more than you will ever know!
ps...I just realized as I finished typing this post that Ky had come in and curled up in the chair next to me...poor punkin!
Please start praying!
