Oahu (Hawaii day 1 & 2)

I can't believe the time had come.....we left our sweet muncherheads and headed for a much needed vacation!

Husband and I arrived in Honolulu somewhere between 12 & 1 AM.....heck, after a full day of traveling I kind of lost track! But we were so exhausted we headed straight to bed...how old are we?!

And wouldn't you know....we woke up at 4 AM! Ugh, talk about jet lag...BUT our hotel had a 24 hour restaurant so we were good to go!

Husband had his fantasy football draft via skype so I just enjoyed my book....

The only plans we had for our full day in Honolulu was to see Pearl Harbor!

It's so crazy that you could still see oil....it made me sad seeing all that was lost.

If I had to list just one way you can always count on my Husband to lead by example, it is that he will always be a gentlemen. There are so many things I want my girls to learn from their daddy....but you better believe they will know how a man should treat them!!

They will know that above all, they are respected.

They will know that they are beautiful no matter what.

They will know that they are PERFECT the way they are!

I love that I see examples of this in my husband on a daily basis! While visiting Pearl Harbor, we were on our tour and the tour guide wanted to fix the flag (it had gotten tangled). What's crazy is that most people would not even notice this....but it showed how much pride she had in our flag! I stood in the background as I witnessed onlookers watch this lady struggle with the flag that stood above us. As soon as Husband saw this, he was over there in 2 seconds!!

No questions asked....he was there to help! Love that!

Husband bought me a lei since I hadn't stopped talking about them since we landed in Hawaii - sorry, I've never had a real lei before!

We are such dorks (and I love it!)...

More coming soon.....

Hey friend! Your trip looks A.Mazing!!!! And I love your blue dress--beautiful! You sound so happy--I'm so glad!
Molly missed Ky, too--it's funny, it's like she can feel that you guys are further away! Kiddie intuition, I guess.
Miss You Big!!! I thought of you as I ran into Willow Bend today. Boo!
