Hawaii (day 5 & beyond)

Better late than never! I finally made myself sit down and finish blogging about our anniversary trip! You can read part 1 here, and part 2 here!

I have mixed emotions about our kayak/hiking adventure....adventure being the key word. Don't get me wrong, it was a lot of fun. And a lot of work. But also very educational....we learned a lot! We kayaked 5 miles total....

And hiked two miles total! But once we saw this, it was all worth it...

The water was absolutely freezing! Robbie forced me kindly asked me to at least get waste deep just to take a picture together - brutal (can you see the pain in my face?!).

Our last full day in Hawaii was our actual anniversary, and a local snapped this picture of us....

We made reservations at the Beach House that we kept hearing had an unbelievable view....and that it did!

Right on the beach....

Our table was pretty much right on the beach, where you could get up, walk around and take pictures - SO FUN!

After we got back to the hotel, and were headed to our room, we saw that they had a guy singing some classic Hawaiian tunes in the lobby/bar area, so we decided to stop by. Pretty soon after, Husband disappears. I was really enjoying the music and not really paying attention to how long he was gone. The next thing I know, he walks up and all he says is 'follow me'. I immediately knew something was up (not sure what), but I could tell.....and then I realized that there is a guy standing back a little bit waiting for us. Husband leads me kind of fast out by the pool area and we stop right by the waterfall, all while this guy continues to follow pretty close.

I then realize that this guy works at the hotel, although he doesn't have on his work shirt. Husband grabs both of my hands and just stares at me. He begins to speak these words, and for the first time in a very long time, I am speechless. He begins to renew his vowels to me. He is speaking words that he said to me when we were married. Except this time, it is much deeper. I didn't think it could be deeper than September 1, 2001, but it's amazing what you can go through in ten years and three kids later.

I cried...the entire time. And afterwards, I had to apologize for not saying much....I was that speechless. But I think my emotions said it all.

Evidently when he disappeared, he was trying to find someone to renew our vowels or at least be a witness. He tracked down the manager and she agreed to allow a bellman to come out and be a witness, however he was not allowed to do this 'on the job' so he had to take his work shirt off in order to do it. My husband is pretty stinking romantic, but this tops anything he has ever done....hands down.

We got back to the lobby and he had also secretly talked to the guy singing, and had him sing and dedicate a song to me....yes, he was pretty darn busy in the few minutes he had disappeared!!

It was definitely a very full, fun packed 10 year anniversary celebration!

And there was nothing that could end our VACA better than coming down the escalator a seeing these precious babes holding a sign!!!

Oh my word, what a great way to end a fabulous trip!!

And lastly, I have to share this! Husband told me about this song he has dedicated to me. Get this, the name of it is 'Crazy Girl'. I have to admit, never hearing the song, I was a little disturbed that he thinks of me every time he hears CRAZY GIRL! Don't get me wrong, I know I'm a little on the crazy side....but really? Then, last week, we were headed to Kole's football tournament and the song came on the radio. I was so pleasantly surprised. It has to be the sweetest dedication ever....and after listening to the words, I am honored to be Husband's crazy girl!

Below are the lyrics....
